Commenting On The Debate I Didn't Watch: Patriotic!

No, I didn't watch it.

I have cultivated such a strong dislike for her that I didn't want to see her possibly do a good job, because I get a perverse pleasure from hating her & that whole whale blubber clan of the cave bear circus she's part of. If she held her own, then bully for her. If not, bully for me.

I did a fair share of Thursday night quarterbacking, and it appears she was really rocking that Cowgirl-At-A-Themepark bullshit: y'all, yah know, gonna, droppin' her "g"s, ... Can't we have someone who's eloquent & can talk to people intelligently? Oh wait, we already have that: it's called the Obama/Biden ticket. And just because I'm educated and can understand big words does that make me pretentious? (I well may be, but not for that reason.)

I'm tired of folksy. Truly. And just because she drove a van to a
f#%king soccer game doesn't mean she's cornered the market on real life.

This country is supposed to be the place where any US citizen could ideally be president. But honestly, she needs to get wise. She's like some character in a second rate comedy chock full of SNL & SCTV hasbeens where they pull some poor unsuspecting "Joe Six-Pack" (another Palinism) out of nowhere to take the place of some world leader who's been shot.

I wonder if the GOP thought, "hey, this one's a spittin' image of Tina Fey. We pick her and there'll be an uptick on SNL coverage!" "But wait, Fey's not on the show anymore." "Shoot, she'll come back to the show just for this, you watch!"

Hurry, November 4, and be good to me. I'm tired of feeling compelled to post politically.

First of all (and totally unrelated to below), is everyone as sick of hearing the talking heads say “Main Street” as I am? WHY do they glom on to some word or phrase and bludgeon us with it?

Now on to just as serious topics:

Preface: I don't like either ticket - they both prescribe to policies and ideas that are proven, miserable failures. They "hold their own" in the debates only because as they accuse each other, they are correct. Both stink. Note to supporters: Get over it. After a lot of reading, I am leaning toward Obama because McCain will stick to trickle-down economics which (as Bush The First – of all people – said a long time ago) it truly is vodoo economics.

That all said, I find it amazing that people on the left suddenly find a "little person" so objectionable. One of my gay friends said “she is not presidential” – but if the Dems picked Rip Taylor, I’d bet my last Euro he’d be fine with that.

I don’t like Palin for her politics (and I’m about the most non-spiritual person you’ll ever meet), but I would think Dems would love to have a woman VP. That was me being ironic: I well know she is not the pantsuit-wearing-lefty-man-hater they so love. Pathetically obvious.

And Dems need be careful tossing about accusations regarding the butchering the English language – the Congressional leadership all together would have a difficulty time stringing together 3 sentences without a serious butchering (and that’s when they are using wordsmiths!). No, 100 monkeys CAN’T write Shakespeare no matter how long they live – but it is pretty cool that you can teach them to smoke a cigarette! Obama is good … but most of the others …

I understand a lot of people’s dislike for her, but she is the logical answer to the feminist manhaters and one of the only smart things I have seen McCain do – a political slight of hand if you will, but effective nonetheless.

Come on whities – don’t be so self hating – it’s so passe.

I like one thing about her: She appears to be one of those woman in a porno that is trying to look smart with glasses who will soon start taking it off (cue the funky groove …). [If Sassy is reading, this is what I’ve heard.]

I don't care what BoBo says - if McCain should drop dead, she'll be the hottest piece of ass the White House has sen since Franklin Pierce - thad dude was seriously HOT!

Speaking of Pierce, there is a Web site devoted to him - here is a quote:

While a successful presidency eluded Franklin Pierce, the superior quality of his hair cannot be disputed. It is hair redolent with integrity, patriotism, judgment and, most importantly, small-town values."

I'll take Palin over Pelosi ANY day - and anyone who disagres is a fool. There, I said it.

(Pelosi is a fool of the very highest order and makes Palin seem as good as George Washington - oh, wait, I'm talking about Jorge Washington, the dude who sells us bait ...)

HOLD ON TIGHT ...

Palin = I simply cannot support her. VERY unf$@kable. And she breeds like a downriver barmaid.

Yes, fairly obvious that Reps v. Dems is lesser of 2 evils, I've always said that. We need NO party. BUT - My dime's on the brother (Obama = possibly big schwantz) (plus wife more f$@kable)

FINDING THE LITTLE PERSON OBJECTIONABLE? HOW ABOUT SHE'S JUST A STUPID C@$T??? And Rip Taylor would make a horrible prez. Too old, like McCain. We'll take John Waters, that's for damn sure. Yeah .. JOHN WATERS FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

AND - I didn't know self-loathing was a white person thing - I thought it was just a Kubat thing!!!

At one point I thought it was f@%ing brilliant that McCain's people picked Palin. BUT actually I think it was pure dumb luck. No, wait, maybe my 1st thought was accurate. Her history unravels in front of billions of people. She instantly becomes the most hated/loved/pitied/famous woman in the world - NO MORE GLASS CEILING!! Obmama probably wishes there was a pink roller-wearin' jobless brother-in-law on his side somewhere.

Politics is all politics. BUT - when you're looking to pick someone for the most important job as it applies to our collective asses, I'll certainly pick the least offensive, most well-heeled, charismatic, etc blah blah blah. Even aside from personal handlers etc, you can just tell he's more together. And actually I'd take Bill Clinton all over again & again in a f@$king heartbeat. So I'm kinda sick of this race. Just vote for Obama or we're all gonna stick a rifle up that collective ass of ours & take turns pulling the trigger.

Come on, you wouldn’t give her a good a good hate bang?

I like your answer - I respect anyone who supports either side, yet doesn't seriously think these people are some type of flawless, superior beings. None of the four are all that. That is a fact.

I think Obama's wife is a fake, spoiled jerk. She is the type who thinks all the problems of blacks are due to whitey (like every movie, news story, etc. portrays) and I cant stand that (as much as listening to any right-wing-hate-mongering-jerk - hypocrisy is hypocrisy).

I too would take Clinton for 8 more years. He's crazy kind of fun and smart - the best of both worlds.

I will vote for Obama and simply hope that he will be a rational, middle of the roader and compromise and get some things done.

We're going on a cruise this morning, so I won't be thinking about this crap for a week. I'll quit the thinking and do more drinking for a while.
